Marina di Modica is a charming little seaside
town on the south-eastern Sicily, in the
province of Ragusa. It is located on the
stretch of the Mediterranean placed
between the Ionian Sea and the Channel of
Sicily, and is characterized by large and fine
sandy beaches, with shallow and crystal
clear waters.
It is also a paradise for wind-surfers, thanks
to favorable winds and to adapt currents.

The town is served by bus lines that
connect it directly to the airport of Catania
and soon will be more easily accessible
thanks to the new airport of Comiso (in the
province of Ragusa).
Marina di Modica is also equipped with all
the main services, that are located a few
meters from the apartment: shops,
supermarkets, bakeries, tobacco,
restaurants, butcher, pharmacy, post office,
etc..

Marina di Modica is close to various places
of historical,cultural and naturalistic interest:
the greek-roman city of Syracuse and the
Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ragusa
Ibla, Scicli; the fishing villages of Sampieri,
Pozzallo, Marzamemi; the naturalistic
reserves of Vendicari and Cavagrande of
Cassibile, etc..

Finally, Marina di Modica overlooks on the
archipelago of Malta, which is reached in
about one hour of navigation from the
nearby Pozzallo, only 5 km far.
